Multicultural Fun Day

As every year Shrewsbury Muslim Centre will be supporting the Multicultural Fun Day which takes place on Saturday 17th September at the United Reformed Church in Shrewsbury.

The event starts at 12 noon and runs through to 4:30.

This is a great, family event at which members of the community, of many faiths and none, meet to share exciting cultural and religious knowledge and experiences, and of course food and drink. There are lots of things to see and do, for children and adults of all ages. The political climate in which we live at the moment demands that people get together to break down barriers and ignorance, hence we encourage as many people as possible to attend during the day.

If anyone is able to volunteer to help set up stalls and such please get to the URC at around 11am; for which you will be rewarded with free coffee or tea (and even a cake, if you play your cards right!).
Finally, the Multicultural Fun Day is organised every year by Shrewsbury Interfaith Group, which meets monthly to share knowledge and experiences and is open to anyone who wishes to attend. For details please contact us through the SMC website and we’ll pass your details on.
