The Holy Month of Ramadan at Shrewsbury Muslim Centre

Insha’allah the holy month of Ramadan will begin on the 6th June, or 7th depending upon the sighting of the Moon. Please find the Ramadan timetable on our website. Tarawih prayes will take place after Isha prayer at 11pm throughout Ramadan. We are pleased to announce that the prayers will be led by Maulana Yasin, who has been a mainstay and inspiration to the Shropshire Muslim Community for many years. We are proud and grateful that he will be supported by Hafiz Mohammed Serajul Islam.
On Monday 20th June the prayer will be led by Shaykh Mohammed Khalil Al Qasr, respected I~mam of Masjid al Qiblataya in the holy city of Medina. The Shaykh is travelling the country during Ramadan to raise money for the charity Human Appeal, and we humbly appreciate that Shrewsbury Muslim Centre is one of only 30 mosques to be graced with his presence.

DURING RAMADAN IT IS OUR POLICY DURING FAJR AND ISHA/TARAWIH PRAYERS NOT TO USE THE SMC CAR PARK. PLEASE PARK IN THE EMPTY SHIREHALL CAR PARK OPPOSITE SMC, WHICH CAN FIT HUNDREDS OF CARS, SO WE SHOW GOOD ISLAMIC MANNERS AND CAUSE AS LITTLE DISRUPTION AS POSSIBLE TO OUR NEIGHBOURS.
